i told my friend the film was so-so only...and he said, "really?! but the tickets sell was big"... of course the sell big... evryone love wolverine, people enjoy watching the xmen trilogy... especially logan a.k.a wolverine played by mr hugh jackman... i like it too... and of course most people are being ignorant and claimed themselves to be the a fan of "the x-men phenomenon" and just enjoyed the idea of being a fan and also just because they watched the animated series aired on our national tv in late 90's...well dats not the all about of athe xmen... well the true saga of xmen are rather complicated then what's on tv... read the comics man, then u become a fan...
i myself not a fan and dont read the comic but i do knew little bit of the xmen... much more than those posse... i knew quite a lot of the characters and the other storylines int he xmen and marvel universe...
metacritics gaves 44 metascores for this film which is average and rotten tomatoes also gave 36%.... the rating were average by almost all major film critics....
TMES just said ok, its not a great film and just an effort to make the trilogy more sizzling....
robert egbert gaves two stars only!! and the comment was ironic....
so the film sold solely due to its predecessor's achievement.
in my humble view...
the story show too much of logan's soft side, yeah... bout how sabertooth killed his wife, revenge and stuff....
from marvel multi-verse, logan and victor creed were neither brothers nor step brothers nor half brothers, fuck they not even related!!! just some old acquaintance from the us government funded mutant group known as weapon-x.... in the film wolverine was weapon-x himself and deadpool is weapon-xi...hahahaha (deadpool??????)
casting was great though... jackman played awesome role of logan since the first xmen film, liev schreiber was victor creed a.k.a sabertooth, idont like schrieber but he play it pretty well, im impressed.... and suprisingly the actress playing silverfox was very pretty, her name was lynn collins and it seems dat silver fox abilities from the comic and film are different, from healing factors and age suppresant to hypnotic and power of persuasion, and she was logan's love interest and also a member of weapon x.
i dont know why they change the cast of general stryker, the previous one in x-man X2 was awesome (played by brian cox)...
other cast was great too... will.i.am was john wraith (kestrel), kevin durand was fredrick duke (the blob), dominic monaghan was chris bradley (bolt), danniel hanney as david north (agent zero) and ryan reynold cameo as wade wilson.
kestrel, agent zero, wolverine, sabertooth and also silver fox were actual member of weapon-x accordance to marvel, inclusive to the blob which actualy was a bad guy from brotherhood of evil mutants and bolt was other small characters from multi group.
when i saw agent zero in action, i thought he was maverick but in the film they keep calling him "zero! zero! zero!".... so i did some research.... and agent zero was maverick, the same guy after all....
wade wilson by the way was deadpool... in film, deadpool was weapon zero with multiple abilities extracted from other mutants including the adamantium bones and an optic energy blast from cyclops.... reynold show so much suitabality of playing wade wilson as both of them have the same charisma of being the joker and wise-cracker and thats reaaaallly cool.... i love it...
remy lebeau (gambit) played by taylor kitsch.... he play the role quite well though, even without the cajun accent.. the actor channing tatum was been offered an auditon for the role of gambit for film xmen: the last stand but the character was cut from the script....
i dont know much about character emma frost, the mutant i thought with only telepathic power, and later i found out she also can shape-shifted his body into diamonds.... wait.... did there was a girl dat change into diamonds? and she was silver fox sister???? whats all this??? yes, in the film, kayla silverfox sister was emma frost, and she do can change into the glitering stones but the telepathic abilities was not revealed...
for me watching all of those mutants are actually the most fun part of the film... the story line was stupid and kinda......tragic....
even the final battle was boring... i dare say so... if the deadpool/weapon xi was the most powerful mutant artificially crafted, what wud happen if he battle magneto? surely gonna magneto gonna win...hahaha...easy....hahahaha....
and how can gambit and wolverine can get along well? both of them always seem to have a disagreement to each other.....
truthfully... this film disappoint me, i put too much eagerness with it but in the end it just another average rated blockbuster... how pity...
